A massive fire broke out this afternoon in the market area of Martadi, the headquarters of Bajura district. The fire, which started from a local shop, began spreading rapidly, creating panic among traders and residents.
According to Lakshmiraj Joshi, the information officer at the District Police Office, Martadi, the fire was first seen at around 12:20 PM. Security personnel and local residents immediately reached the site and began efforts to minimize potential damage.
The situation became more challenging due to the lack of fire engine facilities in the market area. Locals, with the help of police, are attempting to contain the fire using whatever resources are available, such as hoses, buckets, and household water supplies.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
