Rautahat saw a serious road accident on Tuesday morning when three vehicles collided, injuring seven people including the drivers. The incident occurred at Barahawa of Durga Bhagwati Rural Municipality-5 along the Hulaki Road towards Bam Nahar.
According to police, an Indian Scorpio (HR 28 D 7222) heading toward Bam Nahar collided with another Indian Scorpio (BR 07 PA 7584) traveling from Chandranigahpur to Gaur. After the initial collision, the first Scorpio also rammed into a parked auto-rickshaw (Na 2 Ha 6525). The impact caused damage to a nearby hotel belonging to Vijay Sah.
District Police Office Rautahat spokesperson DSP Bishnu Pradip Basyal informed that the injured include:
- Pawan Yadav (30) of Adarsh Kotwal RM-7, Bara
- Ankit Mahato (11) of Barhathwa Municipality-14, Sarlahi
- Surendra Kumar Sah (24) of Gaur Municipality-2
- Shivji Sah (50) of Rajdevi Municipality-8
- Ramdayal Sah (52)
- Mangal Patel (39), auto driver from Yamunamai RM-5
- Tariq Basta (10) of Rajpur Municipality-3
All injured individuals were treated at Provincial Hospital Gaur and discharged after medical care.
Police have taken all three vehicles involved under control for further investigation.
