The Madhesh Province Chief’s Office has called on political parties to form a new government after accepting the resignation of Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav.
Informing that Yadav’s resignation has been approved, the Office announced that parties have been invited to submit their claim for government formation by Friday, the 19th, before 5 PM, in accordance with Article 168(2) of the Constitution.
Following this development, parties have once again begun internal consultations. Earlier today, during the Madhesh Provincial Assembly meeting—scheduled for Chief Minister Yadav to seek a vote of confidence—he instead announced his resignation from the assembly itself.
