Janardan Sharma Prabhakar was shown black flags in his home district on Sunday.
Sharma arrived in Rukum West this morning, flying from Kathmandu to the district headquarters, Khalanga, on a Nepal Airlines flight. During his arrival, local activists in Rukum displayed black flags as a sign of protest. Following the incident, security personnel were deployed in greater numbers to prevent any untoward situation.
This is Sharma’s first visit to his home district after he split from the CPN (Maoist Centre) and formed the Progressive Democratic Party (PRLOPA).
