For the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21, Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has been recommended as a candidate from Rolpa.
A meeting of the Nepali Congress District Working Committee held on Tuesday decided to recommend Thapa’s name for the direct (first-past-the-post) category for the upcoming election.
According to Anupam GC, personal secretary to Lumbini Province Congress President Amar Singh Pun, the committee has decided to recommend four other names alongside Thapa for the direct election category.
Those recommended from Rolpa include:
- Gagan Thapa, General Secretary
- Amar Singh Pun, Province President
- Manojmani Acharya, Central Committee Member
- Dr. Mandip Subedi
- Gyan Bahadur Oli
