Nepali Congress leader Chandra Bhandari has announced that he will run for the position of party president at the party’s 15th General Convention.
He made the announcement on Wednesday through a post on his Facebook page.
“Regarding friends’ curiosity, here is my view. My aspiration for the post of party president in the 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress is clear, and my vision is equally defined,” Bhandari wrote.
“My aspiration for the presidency in the 15th General Convention of the Nepali Congress is clear, and my vision is well-established. However, wherever the interests of the country, the people, democracy, and the organizational needs stand, I am ready to move accordingly—from zero to a hundred, in whatever way necessary. Steps must be taken while respecting friends’ suggestions, the demands of time, and the political environment,” he added.
