Lumbini Lions have posted a target of 135 runs for Biratnagar Kings in the second qualifier of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
In the match held at TU Ground, Kirtipur, Biratnagar won the toss and opted to bowl first. Batting first, Lumbini scored 134 runs in the full 20 overs, losing eight wickets.
For Lumbini, Darcy Short top-scored with 45 runs off 41 balls, including three fours and a six. Captain Rohit Paudel contributed 34 runs, while Niroshan Dickwella added 29, Ruben Trumpelmann scored 11, and Sher Malla made 7 runs.
Openers Dinesh Adhikari and Dilip Nath were dismissed for just one run each. Sandeep Jora and JJ Smith departed without scoring.
In bowling, Biratnagar’s Subash Bhandari and Pratish GC impressed with three wickets each. Bhandari conceded only 14 runs in his four overs, while GC gave away 27 runs in his full spell. Sandeep Lamichhane picked up two wickets.
The winner of today’s match will face Sudurpaschim in the final on Saturday.
