Kathmandu: Newly appointed Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens, Shradha Shrestha, has officially assumed her duties at the ministry.
Shrestha, along with three other newly appointed ministers, took the oath of office and secrecy today from President Ramchandra Paudel in a special ceremony held at the President’s Office.
The ministers sworn in are:
- Kumar Singh Ingnam – Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation
- Rajendra Singh Bhandari – Minister for Labor, Employment, and Social Security
- Madhav Chaulagain – Minister for Forests and Environment
- Shradha Shrestha – Minister for Women, Children, and Senior Citizens
With this latest cabinet expansion, the current Council of Ministers now totals 14 members. The cabinet was originally formed on Bhadra 27 following the Bhadra 23–24 Jenej (youth) uprising and had previously been expanded on Bhadra 30, Ashoj 6, and Kartik 9.
