The Nepali Congress Bajura has recommended the names of 13 candidates for the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21.
The Nepali Congress District Working Committee, Bajura, convened a general meeting of all its office-bearers and members last Friday and finalized the recommendations. According to the committee, six candidates have been recommended for the House of Representatives under the direct category, five under the proportional representation system, and two for the National Assembly.
The six candidates recommended for the House of Representatives are Ramsingh Rawal, Kabiraj Pandit, Janakraj Giri, Jagatjang Bam, Gurudev KC Suman, and Yogendra Rawal.
Similarly, Nirmala Kumari Rawal Karki, Vidya Devi Timilsena, Maha Napali, Radhika Singh, and Sunita Gurung have been recommended under the proportional representation category. For the National Assembly, the party has recommended Devaraj Joshi and Khambahadur Khati.
District President Ramsingh Rawal stated that the initial intention was to forward only one name to the central committee after thorough discussion. However, as many aspirants expressed interest during the district-level gathering, the committee decided to forward all recommended names directly to the party center.
He added that a total of 13 names—six for the House of Representatives, five under proportional representation, and two for the National Assembly—have been officially sent to the central committee for consideration.
