The Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist–Leninist) has called a Central Committee meeting today as part of its ongoing 11th National Convention.
According to UML Publicity Department Chief Rajendra Gautam, the meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am at Bhrikutimandap, the venue of the convention’s closed session. The meeting has been convened to discuss amendments to the party statute as well as current political issues.
Due to the Central Committee meeting, the closed session of the national convention, which was originally scheduled for 8:00 am today, has been rescheduled. Gautam informed that the closed session will now begin at 12:30 pm.
The closed session of the convention, which officially begins today, will play a key role in selecting the party’s new leadership.
