Extending New Year 2083 greetings, President Ram Chandra Poudel said that a shared national commitment is essential for unity, good governance, and prosperity.
In his message on Tuesday, he stressed that the New Year should be viewed not only as a celebration but also as an opportunity to review the past and set guidance for the future.
The President said that through the recently concluded elections, the people have clearly expressed their expectations for a federal democratic republic, rule of law, social justice, and prosperity. He emphasized that all political forces and citizens must unite to fulfill these aspirations.
To move the country in the right direction, he proposed five major commitments. According to him, loyalty to democratic values and republicanism, good governance and transparency, inclusion and social justice, protection of national sovereignty, and a citizen-centered system of governance are the needs of the time.
He noted that achieving these goals requires firm determination, discipline, and cooperation, and called on everyone to play a responsible role from their respective positions.
