Interim Government Minister for Communication and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel has claimed that a conducive environment for elections has already been created. Speaking to journalists at the Janamat Party office, Minister Kharel said the situation is now suitable for holding the upcoming House of Representatives election.
He stated that all political parties appear prepared for the election and are actively engaged in necessary preparations. According to him, Janamat Party is also ready to participate in the polls. Observing the readiness and commitment of political parties, the government has become more confident about conducting the election as scheduled.
“The government has visited the offices of major political parties and held discussions to create an election-friendly environment,” Kharel said. “Janamat Party is prepared for the election. The government is holding the election on February 21. Wherever we have gone, we have received the message that the environment for elections is ready and parties are prepared. With this encouragement, the government is moving forward with enthusiasm for the election.”
He added that a government-formed Political Dialogue Committee, including Law Minister Anil Kumar Sinha, Communication Minister Kharel, and Prime Minister Sushila Karki’s Chief Advisor Ajayabhadra Khanal, has been visiting party offices to request cooperation in ensuring a favorable environment for the election.
