Senior Vice President of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Rabindra Mishra, has advised Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala to clearly define his political alignment. Mishra suggested that Koirala should position himself either with the opposition or along the lines of Prachanda.
Writing an open letter on Facebook addressed to Koirala, Mishra referenced four of Koirala’s statements and provided his comments in nine points.
Mishra questioned whether, as a true follower of BP Koirala, Koirala prioritizes the country over his political position. He targeted Koirala’s remarks, writing:
“Is it possible to become a politician in this superficial way? Even if you become Prime Minister this way, you won’t be a Prime Minister for all of Nepal, but a meaningless Prime Minister along the Prachanda path. Do you love the position more than the country?”
He further added:
“Starting your letter like this – if the country’s situation is so dire, why are you just sitting and waiting? When I see you caught up in self-centered concerns about whether you can become Congress president or Prime Minister, my respect for you begins to falter, which I do not wish.”
