The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has unveiled its annual calendar for 2026, detailing domestic and international cricket activities across men’s, women’s, and youth levels. The announcement was made during a recent press briefing.
According to the calendar, domestic competitions will include the Men’s A-Division Cup at district and provincial levels, while the Jay Trophy and National School Championship will be held at district and provincial levels. The Men’s National A-Division Cup and National School Championship are scheduled for March and April. The Women’s A-Division Cup will be conducted at both district and provincial levels.
The year-round calendar also features the Y-Y Men’s National Cricket Competition and the Women’s National A-Division Cup. Prioritizing youth development, CAN will organize the CAN Youth Cup, Level 1 and 2 coaching courses, pitch curator courses, and umpiring courses.
Other domestic tournaments include the Girls’ National Championship, Women’s Long Format Competition, Nepal Premier League (NPL), National School Championship, and inter-school and college-level competitions. Regional domestic competitions will conclude in December.
On the international front, Nepal’s women’s team will participate in the ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers, while both men’s and women’s teams will compete in bilateral series, ICC World Cricket League events, ACC Men’s and Women’s Cups, and the Asia Cup. Plans are also in place for the Nepal Premier League and international triangular series.
CAN aims to strengthen domestic cricket structures in 2026 to enhance Nepal’s competitiveness at the international level, with a special focus on women’s and youth cricket through continuous tournaments and training programs throughout the year.
