The Nepali Congress is set to hold a meeting of its Central Working Committee this morning at the party’s central office in Sanepa. The party has requested the presence of office bearers and members of the Central Working Committee, along with presidents from all seven provinces.
The meeting had been affected on Tuesday due to day-long negotiations between leaders aligned with the special general convention faction and the establishment faction. Ongoing talks between the two sides prevented the meeting from proceeding in a regular manner.
Meanwhile, General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma, who are leading the special general convention process, have stated that they will not participate in the Central Working Committee meeting. Their absence is expected to have an impact on the meeting’s decision-making process.
