Coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has claimed that domestic and foreign forces are making large investments in individuals who gain popularity through stunts rather than ideology and principles.
Speaking at a unity program between the NCP and the Chure Bhawar Party held in Kathmandu on Tuesday, Prachanda said that the trend of becoming popular through stunts has increased, instead of advancing politics based on ideology, principles, sacrifice, dedication, and struggle.
He argued that those who rise to popularity through such stunts are the very ones receiving major backing from both domestic and foreign powers. “Instead of respecting ideology, principles, politics, sacrifice, dedication, and martyrdom—working against corruption, campaigning for social justice, and striving for economic development to overcome backwardness—we are seeing people become popular merely through stunts. And we have all witnessed how domestic and foreign forces are investing heavily to promote such figures,” he said.
Prachanda further stated that in order to build national strength and work in favor of the country and its people, it has become necessary to intensify the campaign for unity among communist and leftist forces.
“We have moved forward with the process of building the Nepal Communist Party and advancing polarization and unity by recognizing the historic need to respect history, ideology, and to organize movements based on political values,” he added.
