Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today (Thursday). According to the rates, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 146.56 and the selling rate at Rs 147.16. Likewise, the buying rate of one European euro is Rs 175.42 and the selling rate Rs 176.14, while one UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 201.89 and sold at Rs 202.71. The buying rate of one Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 190.72 and the selling rate at Rs 191.50.
Similarly, the buying rate of one Australian dollar is Rs 102.58 and the selling rate Rs 103.00, while one Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 107.97 and sold at Rs 108.41. The Singapore dollar has been fixed at a buying rate of Rs 116.17 and a selling rate of Rs 116.65. The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.60 and the selling rate Rs 9.64. One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 21.10 and sold at Rs 21.19. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 39.08 and a selling rate of Rs 39.24, while the Qatari riyal is being bought at Rs 40.21 and sold at Rs 40.38.
According to the central bank, the Thai baht has been fixed at a buying rate of Rs 4.71 and a selling rate of Rs 4.73. The UAE dirham is being bought at Rs 39.90 and sold at Rs 40.07. The Malaysian ringgit has a buying rate of Rs 37.40 and a selling rate of Rs 37.55. The buying rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.24 and the selling rate Rs 10.29. The Swedish krona has been fixed at Rs 16.60 for buying and Rs 16.66 for selling, while the Danish krone is being bought at Rs 23.49 and sold at Rs 23.59.
Nepal Rastra Bank has set the buying rate of the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.78 and the selling rate at Rs 18.86. The Kuwaiti dinar is being bought at Rs 480.92 and sold at Rs 482.89. Similarly, the Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of Rs 388.75 and a selling rate of Rs 390.34, while the Omani riyal is being bought at Rs 380.70 and sold at Rs 382.26. The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.
The central bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that the exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the updated rates can be viewed on the Nepal Rastra Bank’s website.
