Sudan Gurung, coordinator of the Hami Nepali Abhiyan, has accused the CPN-UML and some other groups of attempting to obstruct his team’s visit to Pokhara.
On Monday, Gurung posted on social media claiming that after learning about their plan to visit Pokhara, certain groups had begun efforts to disrupt their program.
He stated that they were traveling to Pokhara to strengthen the Gen-Z (Jene-Ji) youth organization in the region and to meet local citizens.
Gurung said, “We set out for Pokhara to strengthen the Gen-Z brothers’ and sisters’ organization and to meet patriotic Pokhreli parents, brothers, and sisters. But after hearing that we were coming, some groups and UML have been making tireless attempts to disrupt our program.”
Despite the opposition, Gurung made it clear that their campaign would not be stopped. Recalling their past struggle for the country, he warned that they would not hesitate to face anyone.
“We fought for the country in the past; there is no question of fearing anyone today,” he said. “We always stand for truth and for the nation.”
Gurung added that by standing with the voice of the youth, they would grow even stronger and would enter Pokhara proudly, carrying their flag high.
