Durga Prasai, the coordinator of the campaign “Rashtra, Rashiyata, Dharma, Sanskriti ra Nagarik Bachau Mahaabhiyan Nepal,” has been arrested. He was taken into custody from Chalnakhel in Dakshinkali Municipality, Kathmandu.
According to police, the Election Commission had sent a letter to the Nepal Police Cyber Bureau citing a violation of the election code of conduct. Based on this, Prasai was arrested, confirmed Cyber Bureau spokesperson and Superintendent of Police Dipak Raj Awasthi.
Medical entrepreneur Prasai has been arrested and released in the past as well. Most recently, he was arrested from Pokhara on Magh 5.
