CPN-UML leader Gokul Baskota has made a sarcastic comment targeting the debate surrounding the restoration of Parliament. Expressing disagreement with his party’s establishment, Baskota took a swipe at the Supreme Court through a post on social media platform Facebook.
He wrote, “In the hope of restoring Parliament, the Supreme Court has even made it snow,” using irony to criticize the situation. He also indicated that instead of getting entangled in unnecessary arguments, attention should now be focused on winning public mandate.
Baskota also commented on discussions about possible alliances in the upcoming elections. “Alliances are formed among leaders, but real alliances are formed with the people,” he wrote, suggesting that it is not easy for political alliances to secure public trust. He concluded with a sharp hint that the possibility of ‘match-fixing’ in politics still remains.
