The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Committee has published the minimum wholesale prices of agricultural produce for Saturday.
According to the committee, the price of large tomatoes (Nepali) is fixed at NPR 100 per kg, large tomatoes (Indian) at NPR 100 per kg, small tomatoes (local) at NPR 60 per kg, small tomatoes (tunnel) at NPR 80 per kg, and small tomatoes (Terai) at NPR 85 per kg. Red potatoes are priced at NPR 28 per kg, Indian red potatoes at NPR 24 per kg, and dry onions (Indian) at NPR 46 per kg.
Similarly, local carrots are priced at NPR 70 per kg and Terai carrots at NPR 55 per kg. Local cabbage costs NPR 45 per kg, Terai cabbage NPR 40 per kg, and coconut cabbage NPR 40 per kg. Local cauliflower is priced at NPR 80 per kg, Terai cauliflower at NPR 60 per kg, red radish at NPR 30 per kg, white radish (local) at NPR 15 per kg, and white radish (hybrid) at NPR 20 per kg. Long eggplant and round eggplant are both priced at NPR 65 per kg, while sweet corn is priced at NPR 40 per kg.
Green peas are priced at NPR 70 per kg. Local hyacinth beans cost NPR 120 per kg, hybrid hyacinth beans NPR 90 per kg, rajma-type hyacinth beans NPR 60 per kg, and flat beans NPR 90 per kg. Bitter gourd is priced at NPR 120 per kg, bottle gourd at NPR 80 per kg, sponge gourd at NPR 100 per kg, ripe pumpkin at NPR 30 per kg, green pumpkin (long) at NPR 40 per kg, green pumpkin (round) at NPR 45 per kg, turnip at NPR 70 per kg, okra at NPR 120 per kg, sweet potato at NPR 60 per kg, yam at NPR 70 per kg, and chayote at NPR 25 per kg.
Leafy vegetables include mustard greens at NPR 40 per kg, spinach at NPR 60 per kg, garden cress at NPR 60 per kg, fenugreek greens at NPR 60 per kg, spring onion at NPR 40 per kg, and rai saag at NPR 20 per kg.
Other items include taro leaves at NPR 100 per kg, yam (tarul) at NPR 50 per kg, oyster mushrooms at NPR 130 per kg, button mushrooms at NPR 400 per kg, king oyster mushrooms at NPR 280 per kg, broccoli at NPR 90 per kg, beetroot at NPR 70 per kg, jire saag at NPR 120 per kg, celery at NPR 250 per kg, parsley at NPR 600 per kg, fennel greens at NPR 60 per kg, mint at NPR 200 per kg, and gundruk at NPR 350 per kg.
Among fruits, apples (local) are priced at NPR 220 per kg and Fuji apples at NPR 280 per kg. Bananas are priced at NPR 150 per dozen, lemons at NPR 90 per kg, pomegranates at NPR 300 per kg, green grapes at NPR 200 per kg, Nepali oranges at NPR 100 per kg, watermelon at NPR 90 per kg, sweet lime at NPR 90 per kg, junar at NPR 100 per kg, pineapple at NPR 145 per piece, local cucumber at NPR 100 per kg, hybrid cucumber at NPR 70 per kg, lime at NPR 60 per kg, Chinese pear at NPR 200 per kg, Nepali papaya at NPR 60 per kg, strawberries at NPR 450 per kg, avocado at NPR 250 per kg, and amla at NPR 70 per kg.
