The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has recommended a list of potential candidates for all three constituencies in the upcoming House of Representatives election. The party’s district working committee, including both experienced leaders and new faces, has forwarded the list to the central leadership.
From Constituency No. 1, seven names have been recommended, including former minister Bina Magar. The other recommended candidates are Jiwanraj Thapa, Madansen Wadayak, Tilak Bhatt, Deepak Bisi, Bhaktabahadur Adhikari, and Lokendra Lamsal.
In Constituency No. 2, the number of aspirants is notably high. The party has recommended Jayaram Pandey, Durga Joshi Bhatt, Maheshdatt Joshi, and Madhav Prasad Pant. Additionally, Lalbahadur Khadka, Haris Thakulla (Kamal Kshetri), and Toyaraj Joshi are included in the candidate list.
For Constituency No. 3, five leaders have been recommended for the electoral contest: Khem Bhandari, Deepak Singh Saud, Manbahadur Sunar, Rajiv Damai, and Hark Singh Dhami. Special priority has been given to ensuring representation from Dalit and indigenous communities in this constituency.
According to NCP leader Jiwanraj Thapa, the central working committee of the party will make the final decision on the candidates from among those recommended by the district-level committee. All aspirants’ names have been collected and forwarded, with the authority to finalize the candidates vested in the central leadership.
