The share market closed higher on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week, with a double-digit gain. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 42.26 points to close at 2,714.81.
A total of 339 companies were traded today, with share transactions amounting to NPR 11.85 billion. During the session, 25.185 million shares were bought and sold.
NRN recorded the highest turnover of the day, with shares worth NPR 407.9 million traded. This was followed by Radhi Bidyut Company, which saw transactions worth NPR 390.3 million.
Gorkha Finance investors were the top gainers, earning up to 10 percent today. On the losing side, investors in SBL Debenture 2089 suffered the highest loss, with a decline of 4.23 percent.
All 13 market sectors ended the day in the green. The hydropower sector led the gains with a 3.36 percent increase, followed by the investment sector at 2.54 percent, development banks at 1.45 percent, and the banking sector at 1.24 percent.
