Hearing the writ petition on Sunday, the Supreme Court declined to issue an interim order in favor of Chaudhary. With this decision, the ruling of the election officer of Kailali-1 to reject Chaudhary’s candidacy remains in effect.
Chaudhary had filed a writ petition at the Supreme Court challenging the decision of the election officer.
